The Fawnridge neighborhood of West Bloomington is located just south of Nord Myr Park between Normandale Boulevard and Poplar Bridge Road. Fawnridge is a smaller neighborhood community that consists of around 80 single family homes ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 in price. The primary house styles in neighborhood are split levels and ranches.

 

The most prominent amenity available to residents of Fawnridge are the parks in the surrounding area. Located just north of theNormandale Lake Park in Bloomington, Minnesota neighborhood is Nord Myr Park, which contains 140 acres of nature preserve. Located to the south is Tarnhill Park where visitors can enjoy recreational amenities such as tennis, soccer, basketball, ice skating, volleyball, and more. Located on the northside of the Normandale Park Community are popular shops and restaurants such as Caribou Coffee, Olive Garden, Pancheros Mexican Grill, Marshall’s, and Trader Joe’s. Numerous other shops can be found across Interstate 494 at the Southdale Shopping Center.

 

The Morris Neighborhood is a part of Independent School District 271 also known as Bloomington Public Schools, which has Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minnesotaserved the entire City of Bloomington since 1917. Several of the school’s in the district are located within the Normandale Highlands neighborhood including Jefferson High School. The school serves around 1,600 students and won the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2010 and was a U.S. News & World Report National Report Bronze Winner. Other schools in the neighborhood include Olsen Elementary School, Olsen Middle School, and Normandale Community College.
